Hungary prepares for next debate on Article 7 procedure


The Hungarian government, “as always”, begins next week’s debate on the European Union’s Article 7 procedure against Hungary with “simple and clear” arguments, Justice Minister Judit said on Wednesday Varga on Facebook.

“Next week Europe’s tired and sick procedure will return, as the next General Affairs Council meeting discusses the Article 7 procedure, which is slowly becoming indifferent even to those who were previously so keen to attack Hungary, “the minister wrote in his post in English.

Varga said it had been clear “for a long time” that liberal politicians wanted to punish Hungary for refusing to line up and for “daring to say: we will defend our country and the borders of Europe, we will not give up not our sovereignty and we will protect the rights of Hungarian parents ”.
