Sigrid releases new music video for ‘Burning Bridges’
Sigrid has released the official video for his new single “Burning Bridges”. The track follows the Norwegian pop sensation’s debut single from 2021, the monumental ‘Mirror’. “
Said Sigrid, “It’s inspired by one of the hardest things I’ve been through. It’s a song about the point where you just have to say in a relationship, ‘you know what, let’s finish this. ‘This moment is enough, and you need a clean break. “
The past year has been a time of deep reflection for Sigrid. Since his rise to pop stardom in 2017, Sigrid has garnered all the accolades a young artist from a small town off the coast of Norway could have imagined. From the release of her critically acclaimed debut EP, Don’t Kill My Vibe, to The Sound of 2018’s victory, performing across the world at the Royal Variety Show, the Nobel Peace Prize, headlining from her first Arena show at 3Arena in Dublin in front of 12,000 fans, and this Glastonbury performance in front of 30,000 festival-goers and millions at home: Sigrid lit the stages with his maverick and progressive attitudes towards femininity in pop.
Finishing 2019 with a 5 * show (The Times) at London’s Eventim Apollo, Sigrid hadn’t stopped for four years, but when the world stopped, Sigrid had an identity crisis, as the world was turning inward. “The thing that was most important to me was taken away from me; to tour, to travel and to be an artist. I thought to myself, who am I without music? not just work, but who am I without my job? But the last year made me realize that I didn’t want to do anything else. I wanted to do this for the rest of my life. “
